An experience that encourages us all to have a break.

KitKat.com serves as a friendly destination reminding site visitors about all the different ways they can take a break with Kit Kat. Whether it's learning about Kit Kat products, recipes, or crafts – the message is the same – Have a break. Have a Kit Kat.

Everything from the product photography to the user interface is inspired by the attributes of a Kit Kat. Multiple types of user interactions ranging from playful button animations, interactive experiences, social video and even an AI generator to help visitors come up with excuses to take a break serve as reminders to us all that it is ok to take time for ourselves.

My role & contribution

As the Product Design Director, I helped create the digital design system for Hershey’s and The Hershey Company. Experience principles, design attributes and a foundation of type, color, photography, and iconography were defined and then applied to a variety of digital components. I then collaborated with content strategy, user experience and product designers to help guide the design of each experience template and webpage.
