Brand Identity

A brand identity for a family owned aviation company.

Jetway is a family owned aviation company that prides itself on remaining small, but offering the same level of safety, service, and savings that is expected within the high profile world of private aviation.

The challenge was that Jetway needed an identity that helped elevate their brand to the same level of trust and confidence that their larger more well known competitors have established.

Defining a new mark

The "A" in Jetway became a distinguishing form factor in which all other letterforms were shaped from. It symbolized the pinnacle of expectation for the high-profile service industry of private aviation, as well as speaking to Jetways commitment to excellence for its passengers.

Building the brand system

Ultimately, the logo design was expanded to provide comprehensive guidelines detailing the correct application of typography, color schemes, photography, and other essential elements of the Jetway identity.

Photography

Photography for Jetway was focused around notions of everyday luxury and capturing dynamic snapshots from the lives of those who have achieved self made wealth.

A window to your world
of private aviation

When it comes to airline travel, one distinguishing characteristic of private jets are the more oval or rounded out window shapes on the jet aircraft themselves. We wanted to utilize this iconic shape in a unique way to bring the idea of “your world of private aviation” to life. For rich visual storytelling, photography is layered on top of each other, showing an artful, macro, birds eye view of potential destinations with a more micro and detailed lifestyle photography contained within the rounded window shape.

My role & contribution

I was introduced to Jetway through a referral from a previous client. By working directly with the owners of the family owned/ operated company, we were able to move through a series of design sprints where I helped them redesign their logo accompanied by a more contemporary brand identity and its application.
